Your Journey to Mule Malu.

To reach Mule Malu Tropical Stay, you can take a 40/70-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali. We are located in the scenic south peninsula of the island. We can arrange a private transfer from/to the airport and from/to your location in Bali to ensure a smooth and convenient journey to our tropical stay.

Getting Around Bingin.

Most places are 10-15 minutes on foot from Mule Malu. Bingin is very walkable, though roads can be narrow and bumpy in places — watch your footing, especially after dark.

A scooter reduces travel time to 2-3 minutes and makes it easier to explore further (Padang Padang, Dreamland, Uluwatu Temple). If you need a scooter rental, ask at our reception and we'll recommend trusted local operators.

For guests who don't ride scooters, Grab and Gojek (Indonesian ride-hailing apps) work well in Bingin. Download them before arriving as they require local phone verification.

  • For a seamless start to your holiday, we recommend our pre-booked private transfer. It’s door-to-door, includes luggage assistance, and removes all stress with taxis, directions, or cash.

    For independent travelers, the drive is straightforward. The roads are paved and easily accessible for both cars and motorbikes (scooters). Simply follow our detailed driving directions below “ What is I drive myself “.

  • The easiest way to arrive. We provide door-to-door private transfers from Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS) or any location in Bali.

  • Of course. Our reception team can easily book your return transfer the day before your arrival.

  • If you are driving yourself, follow these directions from the airport:

    1. Head south on the highway towards the Uluwatu area.

    2. Follow the road onto Jl. Labuan Sait.

    3. Look for the Drifter Surf Shop on your left. Turn right onto Jl. Pantai Bingin.

    4. Continue for approximately 700 meters. After passing the DiVino restaurant, slow down. You will see shops on the right side: one block in a sand/earth color, followed by one block in a greenish color.

    5. The entrance to Mule Malu is located immediately after the green-colored block, on the left-hand side.

  • Yes, we have dedicated parking available for our guests near the lobby stable for motorbike and cars.

  • We don't rent motorbikes but we can help get you in touch with the best rentals around here at check in time. (Local rental don't accept booking in advance)

    You can then discuss motorbike kinds and rate directly with them.

  • Not essential but helpful. You can walk to most places from Mule Malu, but a scooter makes it faster and lets you explore beaches further away (Padang Padang, Dreamland, Balangan).

  • About 700 meters — roughly a 10-minute walk to the cliff top, then another 5 minutes down to the beach itself.

  • No ATMs directly in Bingin. The closest are on Jalan Raya Uluwatu (main road), about 5 minutes by scooter. We recommend bringing enough cash or using cards at businesses that accept them.

  • Bingin has excellent vegan options, particularly at Alchemy Uluwatu, just 5-10 walking min away from Mule Malu. Most cafes also offer vegetarian dishes. Our own restaurant can accommodate dietary requirements — just let us know.

  • We are in the heart of Bingin, one of Bali's most authentic coastal areas. You are steps away from the beach path, surrounded by local life, yet secluded in our tropical garden. It's the perfect balance of access and tranquility.
